Hello! I'm Rue Helu (pronounced roo hee-loo). Yes, it does sound like a Star Wars name! I'm a Korean American non-binary (AFAB) voice-over artist and voice actor with experience in narration, e-learning, commercials, IVR, and character work.
My natural voice is deep, contralto range femme, and has been described as strong, empathetic, calming, and just nice to listen to. My regional accent is Midwestern and a little bit of Southern.
I record in a treated home studio space on a Roswell Mini K87 and a Focusrite Scarlett 2i4, and use Adobe Audition.
*REVISION POLICY:*
Performance Mistakes: Mispronunciations or missing words are fixed at no charge.
Artistic Edits: Two rounds of feedback concerning pacing or tone are included at no charge. I charge a flat $100 booth reservation fee for each additional session as well as the percentage of the original cost of the project that needs to be recorded.
Script Rewrites: One round of rewrites, that are less than 10% of the final script, is included at no charge. Rewrites beyond 10% will be quoted upon request.
