My voice is warm, mature and natural, with a conversational quality that works especially well for documentary, historical, educational and narrative projects. As a Canadian voice actor fluently bilingual in French and English, I bring that same natural, conversational quality to projects in either language.
I’ve spent several years working in voice-over and narration, including The Lost World of Cape Breton Island, a documentary-style history project I created with my son. I have also narrated The Acadians in collaboration with the Canadian Historical Association.
My background as a historical interpreter and reenactor has given me a particular appreciation for storytelling and authenticity. Whether the subject is history, education, travel or another documentary-style project, I like to make the words sound natural and connected to the story.
I’m comfortable with both straightforward narration and character-driven work, and I take the time to find the right pace, tone and feel for each project.
