I’ve been the signature voice of BBC Radio Five Live and have worked as a continuity announcer for major digital channels. I’ve frequently narrated for National Geographic, History, and Biography Channels, and have also voiced documentaries for VH1, ITV, and Channel 4. I’m particularly experienced as a promo voice, having voiced regularly for nearly every BBC channel, as well as Channel 5, Channel 4, Virgin Media, History, and QVC.
About
I earn my daily crust voicing radio commercials, e-learning projects, audiobooks, and corporate videos, but I’ve also recorded countless major TV campaigns. I’m in demand as a “Voice Of God” announcer, both live and pre-recorded, for awards events in London. I’ve voiced hundreds of hours of e-learning material for clients from Mumbai to Madrid, covering topics from automotive welding procedures to accounts auditing.
Originally from Sheffield, Yorkshire, my natural read is an accessible shade of RP, but I can switch to a Sheffield accent or other regional tones to suit a client’s needs. I’m based near central London and its busy voiceover studios, but I also have a professional studio at home from which I work every day.
Back in 1996, I helped establish Excellent Talent (now Nordlings), one of the UK’s leading voice and talent agencies, and was a co-director for nearly 25 years.
