In addition to my teaching career, I continue to be active as a freelance trumpet player and vocalist. I have performance awards in these areas, and also enjoy singing bass in an acapella group. I have been active in using computers for both education and for recording for 30+ years and it is mostly self taught as each new tool became reality. My most recent professional development was July 2026 with remote classes to learn intricacies of music audio recording, mixing and mastering with Rob Mayzes of mastering.com
