Marcus Micksch

Marcus Micksch is a voice actor by passion. He moves comfortably between two extremes: measured, sober precision on one end, and a delightfully chatty, almost breathless energy on the other — whatever the script calls for. His voice is warm and velvety, at home in the mid-range, but flexible enough to swing from youthful freshness to a grizzled old-timer.

What matters to him is sounding precise and knowledgeable without ever coming across as condescending — he speaks on equal footing with the people who'll actually use his recordings. He's happiest with scripts that let him be either meaningful or funny: factual content and entertainment formats appeal to him far more than yet another ad for a product he doesn't believe in. Give him one he does believe in, though, and he'll sell it with total conviction.

Name-dropping he leaves to others — every project, whether a big client or a small production, gets the same care. Alongside voice work, Marcus works as an animator (something of a closet actor), has taken singing lessons for years, and writes his own songs in his spare time.
