My career started in radio and TV, first as a rock and roll disk jockey where I also MC’d concerts and remotes and recorded commericals. Then I moved onto radio and TV news. including a year in Jerusalem during the Palestinian uprising in the 1980s as a radio stringer for NPR and CBC Canada, a field producer and financial assistant for the British TV News Agency Visnews (now Reuters) then as an on-air TV correspondent back in the U.S. for top rated PBS' Nightly Business Report where I was able to use my business degree.
I’m also an intellectual property specialist having worked at NBC News Rights and Clearances at 30 Rock for 11 years licensing 3rd party content for day of air news and long form documentary programs. And recording long form narrations for Peacock Productions.
I’ve also got a great eye for photography. I’m the co-author with my husband of two books on mid-century fashion photography, William Helburn Seventh and Madison and American Goddess Jean Patchett.
