Lindsey Gardner

Authentic, warm and relatable. Lindsey enjoys lending her voice all all mediums of VO. She also has an annoying habbit of referring to herself in 3rd person.

About
For over 20 years, I've worked in the Toronto entertainment industry. From directing to casting, coaching to agenting, and writing to performing, I've worked on all sides of the glass. Dubbed a 'full-service person', I understand the complete creative process, making me a valuable asset to any production.

I was bitten by the 'acting bug' at 8 years old when my mother took me to see The Phantom of the Opera at the Pantages Theatre in Toronto. I was mesmerized by the raw energy that spilled off the stage. By the music, the spectacle, and the thrill of live performance. I knew then that I wanted to be in "that" world.

I trained and worked professionally in theatre and on-camera performance before transitioning to the other side of the lens. Working in casting, I learned the importance of empathy in the auditioning process, how to support actors to bring their best selves to an audition and began to hone my directing skills.

Building on my knowledge of casting, I began working at a top Canadian talent agency, where I developed my negotiating skills. As the agency's booth director and performance coach, I spent 8 hours a day coaching and auditioning performers in all genres of performance (film/TV/ theatre, video game, commercial VO, animation, and audiobooks). This strengthened my directing shorthand and sharpened my ability to communicate with performers. Skills I bring onto the MOCAP stage and into my coaching and directing sessions to this day.
Today, each day brings a new opportunity, and I welcome the challenge. I cast, I direct, I coach, I act, and I write. Being creative is my passion, and if you're looking for a passionate collaborator, let's chat.
