My narration and character acting experience goes way back to my TTRPG days in high school and college. During my 28-year career in law enforcement, I regularly spoke at public events, seminars, webinars, classrooms, and award ceremonies. After retirement in 2022, I plunged headlong into voice acting as my encore career, working initially on audiobooks in the fantasy genre, and branching out into corporate training videos, Sci-Fi trailer VOs, commercial promos, community building videos, and more. Presently my work consists primarily of audiobook narration in the fantasy, Sci-Fi, self-help, mystery/horror, and non-fiction/historical genres; as well as a variety of commercial and corporate promos.

I'm a long-time native of California with roots in the US mid-West and Western Europe. I've lived in all three and have had diverse exposure to cultures around the world. I'm a lifelong fan of epic fantasy and scifi, listening to audiobooks, watching movies and series, and especially narrating.
I have six kids, mostly grown now, and am insanely proud of them all. Throughout their upbringing, I have shared my love for voices with them, mostly through our fondness for movies and animated films. Rare is the day when our saucy banter would not draw classic lines from the characters of Treasure Planet, Finding Nemo, Shrek, Despicable Me, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Up, Kung-Fu Panda, Home, The Princess Bride (a Bishop favorite), and more.
In addition to voice work, I am an accomplished independent author of epic fantasy stories. Working together with my then wife, Rose, I have published five books in an ongoing series, and am planning the release of a sixth in 2023.
Retired from a 28-year in law enforcement, I now frequently enjoy grilling and smoking meats, brewing (and drinking) West Coast-style craft beers, golf, fly fishing and fly tying, and even pick up a guitar now and then. Enjoying all that Southern California has to offer is my greatest reward now.
