Jack Harte

Using my voice has always been a hobby from my youngest days. I imitated announcers and actors and characters, played with tape recorders as a kid, making up commercials, mimicking what I heard on radio and TV, and in movies. I sang with a couple of local cover bands, did a little stand up comedy, wrote and produced videos with friends when video cameras were new. After a fair amount of encouragement, I finally made a demo tape in my mid 20s. I was hired as a broadcaster to handle traffic and weather, occasionally news, some sidekick activity, and went to every audition that I was called to. Radio commercial work rolled in regularly, and other announce work. Eventually, family life shifted my focus to more steady work, while still keeping a hand in voice over. With the kids grown, more voice work came along, industrial work, explainers, employee benefit presentations, and other work. I built a recording studio in my home. I've returned to radio, and I conduct historic and other tours of Boston, Massachusetts. It's my passion to say things into microphones.
