Ethan Genz

I am possessed of a clear, solid, and strong voice that lends itself equally well to a deep, authoritative tone, and to a more youthful energy. My background and natural intuition also lend me a considerable versatility in tone and color. However, my greatest strengths are simply being clear and easy to follow, and having a strong command of difficult vocabulary. Thus, I am at my best when performing for technical and educational content.

I do my work from my acoustically treated home studio. For my hardware, I use an AKG C214 Condenser Mic and a FocusRite Scarlett Solo (3rd Gen.) Interface. For my software, I use Reaper and RX 11 Elements.

I have a few year's experience in the theatrical arts, having played in both school and community productions as well as graduated with a Associate of Arts specializing in theatre from Piedmont Virginia Community College. I am currently attending James Madison University for a Bachelor's in Media Arts and Design with a concentration in Digital Video and Cinema, during which I have taken several opportunities to test my skills in voiceover. In the meantime, I have worked to produce professional demo reels with the aid of Guy Michaels (founder of Voiceover Kickstart), as well as to continually improve upon my home studio.
