About
Hey there!
Thank you, and I appreciate you wanting to know a bit about me.
Well, let’s see what makes my voice different.
As a kid I was raised in Maine, picked up the down-east accent which drove my mom crazy when we moved back to Canada. My mom’s side of the family is all Moose Cree First Nation, my dad’s side Irish, hence the last name. Growing up around a mix of English, French, and Cree meant I was immersed in a variety of accents from the start, and now, after several years in Australia, the Aussie accent is creeping in too (resistance is futile). Aside from being nicknamed Bear, I’ve also been called Gom (곰), Masko (ᒪᐢᑲ), Okie, and Smiley, thanks to my high school football coach.
I decided to pursue voice acting because I love to talk and read, and I love finding new angles in how a line can be read. I’m also introverted, but that’s never stopped me from having fun with it. When I’m comfortable, I laugh and smile a lot, not because I’m nervous, but because I like spreading that energy to the people around me, in and outside the booth.
I’d rather you just listen and decide for yourself, but people I’ve worked with have described my sound as warm, modern, and confident, with an easy authority that works well for explainers, technical content, and brand storytelling. I focus on clarity and connection first, making complex ideas feel accessible without sounding instructional or over-produced. I act, and I can shift my voice across a lot of variations, so don’t judge me off one demo alone.
I’ve got a background in audio production and years of hands-on DAW experience, so I can deliver broadcast-ready audio from my own studio and work comfortably in directed sessions, live or remote, whatever a producer or director prefers. I’m fast, responsive, and easy to collaborate with, whether you need a quick pickup or a full session run start to finish.
TL;DR: I love voice acting. I’m a member of the Moose Cree First Nation, a military vet (Signals and Communications), and I’ve got a background in Engineering, Science, and Technology. Outside the military, I’ve also worked in manufacturing and medical instruments.
