About
Like curling up with a good book by the fire, Jack’s sound is warm, inviting, and playful. His voice can be commanding yet also calming. It’s a sound truly representative of Jack: compassionate, connected, and authentic.

As the former Head of Acting and Associate Professor of Voice at SMU from 2007 to 2018, Jack worked professionally as an actor, educator, and voice and dialect coach. His work has appeared on the stages of Utah Shakespeare Festival, Seattle Shakespeare Company, PCPA Theaterfest, GEVA Theater Center, South Coast Repertory Theatre, Shakespeare Santa Cruz, Colorado Shakespeare Festival, Insight Out Theatre Collective, Strawberry Theatre Workshop, Centerpoint Theatre Group, Stage West in Fort Worth and at St. Mark’s Cathedral, Seattle.

Once an urban dweller and tenured professor, Jack moved with his family to the wilds of Eastern Oregon in 2017 to pursue a simpler, more peaceful life among family, Ponderosa pines, and the Wallowa Mountains. A lifelong lover of music, Jack plays drums and sings with his local band, “Greenman and the Martians”, during the summer months. He also serves as the master of ceremonies for the local music festival, Pine Fest, each September.

Jack is the proud father of 2 kids: Katie, 16 and Charlie, 13.
