The voice of Mitch Phillips is heard coast to coast Posted May
6, 2008
Even when he was a mere puppy, Mitch's bellowy voice could be heard
booming all over the place. From the classroom to the luncheonette
(remember those?) his froggy voice scared some, startled others, and
helped him get dates with sophisticated women. Well, maybe scared
and startled them. His best friend Joey called him "hey giant voice"
or "hey big voice" or "hey fat head" or "hey dumb a**"... Well, you
get the idea. Years later, after successful on the air stints doing
Rock, Classic Rock, Dance, A/C and even Talkradio in New York,
Connecticut, and Miami, the term "Voiceover Giant" took hold as a
business concept, and Mitch Phillips
www.voiceovers.net was born.
Now Mitch Phillips voice is heard coast to coast on those friendly
NHTSA "Click it or Ticket" seatbelt reminder ads, as well as the
anti drunk driving PSA's (You Drink You Drive You Lose). Mitch has
also worked with Michelle and Donna over the years and has been
featured on Hasbro's Xevoz Transformers, movie trailers, NBC Sports
and many local, regional and national promos and commercials.
Mitch also is working toward developing new ways of helping bring
new voices to the industry, and to help those who seek to make a
living with their voices.
According to Mitch, "These days, having talent is nice, but it isn't
enough. You need the drive, the goods and the tools to deliver in
our ever changing technical and economic landscape." On the talent
helping talent theme, Mitch is part of the leadership team for "The
Big Picture" a giant (there's that word again) conference to be held
in February of 2009 in West Palm Beach Florida where executives,
visionaries and talent from the entertainment and media worlds will
unite.
"I'm thrilled and thankful for the chance to shout out to Michelle
and all the great work that has gone into VOplanet, to make it truly
the most user friendly and effective voice marketplace on the
planet"
